An increase in so-called "right-to-work" legislation has left America's labor union membership at historic lows. This has harmed working people in rural America. Rural Liberation is committed to fighting for organized labor via advocating for closed-shop policies on a local, state, and federal level, while also supporting municipalities' ability to enforce closed-shops. Rural Liberation intends to fight for undoing federal anti-union legislation and to support passing the Protect the Right to Organize Act. Additionally, Rural Liberation will support local and state government entities working only with organized labor.
